Chevening Scholarship 2027/28 (United Kingdom)
Overview
Chevening is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. The programme provides exceptional emerging leaders from around the world with the opportunity to pursue a one-year Master's degree at a UK university, seeking individuals who demonstrate leadership potential, strong professional networks and a commitment to driving positive change in their home countries. Scholars also join a tailored engagement programme that connects them with fellow scholars, alumni, the FCDO and partner organisations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory
- Commit to returning to the country of award for at least two years after the scholarship ends
- Have at least two years of work experience, equivalent to at least 2,800 hours, acquired after completing an undergraduate degree
- Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies for admission to a UK postgraduate programme
- Apply to three different eligible UK Master's degree courses
- Receive an unconditional offer from at least one of the three selected courses

Application Process
Applications are submitted online through the official Chevening application system. Applicants select three eligible Master's courses at up to three UK universities and must receive an unconditional offer from at least one selected course by the deadline specified by Chevening. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the relevant British High Commission.
